Hybridanker - adaptive anchorages!

Hybridanker are composite anchorage solutions for all kinds of concentrated loads, e.g. tendons or bearings. They offer high durability, flexibel geometry, reduced emmissions at competitive price.

Main fields of application are

- geotechnics (anchor, nail)

- bridges (strengthening)

- tunnel

- and high rise buildings.

There are many types to perfectly cover all different applications.

For References follow this --> LINK.

All types follow a design based on full scale testing (e.g. according EAD16). Most are covered by ETAs or national regulations, issued by DIBt (GER), OIB (AUT), Eurofins (FIN) or Cerema (FRA).

...durable...

The material used is UHPC. It offers extreme density and ensures a high durabilty. Robustness also at sharp edges is given thanks to short and thin steel fibres. Perfect for the high demands of infrastructure.

...green...

Hybridankers are used to replace steel members. Primary energy consumption and CO2 emissions can be cut by 60-80% depending on application.

Greenanker(R) is a registered trademark of matrics engineering GmbH.

...& strong...

Our UHPC offers a strength of some 180 MPa - this allows usage at highly loaded members.

Up to 5.000 tons can be loaded on Hybridanker products.

Type CoP - placed on concrete

Type CoP or CoP-L (=Large) is a quite robust anchor plate with a large footprint to the concrete structure without antiburst reinforcement. A minimum strength class of C20/25 and a mean strength of 30 MPa at the cube is needed. CoP plates are mostly used for ground anchors and strengthening projects where no antiburst reinforcement is given/wanted.

CoP-S (=small) has been developed as lighter solution for large anchor units  supported on new concrete with higher strength, e.g. wind turbine foundations. It acts together with very little anti-burst reinforcement and a higher concrete strength class of at least C30/37.

Example: Ground anchor type CoP for 17 strands for strengthening of a hydro structure in Laos.

Type CAB - anchor body for compact transfer of high forces

Type CAB or CAB-i (=internal) anchor plate is embedded in concrete with massive antiburst reinforcement. By that high forces can be transferred within small spacing and at low concrete strength. This anchorage is perfect for bridges that are build in multiple stages (e.g. incremental launching, span-by-span, etc.).

If plate shall not be embedded an external solution has been derived, CAB-E (=external).

Example: Tie-down of a railway steel bridge at the abutments with pt bars da 75 mm, Belgium.

Type CoBeam - a bridge for bridges

CoBeam - a traverse made of UHPC to ensure load transfer to structure for excentric tendons - mainly used for shear strengthening of bridges with pt bars. Durable, light, flexible, competitive, ecological!

Example: Shear strengthening of Isarbrücke Bad Tölz with vertical pt bars, Germany.

Type ProMa-Beam - the alternative bridge in cast iron

ProMa Beam is the cast iron "brother" of CoBeam with same benefits in weight/handling/costs.

Example: This is a 50% mock up together with Hybridanker plate type CoP.

Type CoBear - spherical bearing

CoBear is a spherical bearing, e.g. for bridges. It offer high durability and quick availability. Standard sizes are for design resistance of 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32 and 48 MN.

CoBear consist of lower plate, calotte and top plate.

Example: This is a mock up without top plate (8 MN version)

Type LLP - linear bearing

LLP is a load transfer element for tunnel linings or any other linear bearing to reduce the excentricity of load path.
